Benavides; his children, Maria Benavides, Rafael A. Benavides (Alma Flores), Rosa Bertha Buruato (Rogelio), Maricela Guerra (Rafael) and Mara D. Delmar (Luis); and his sister Hermila. He is also survived by grandchildren, great- grandchildren, great-great- granddaughter.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Rose Garden Funeral Home (2102 US-83, Zapata, TX 78076). A rosary was held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church (1610 Hidalgo Blvd, Zapata, TX 78076). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
