He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Hubbard (Belles); and his grandson Brendan Mark Tyler. He is survived by: his children, David Tyler (Heidi), Mark Tyler (Denée), Amy Gregory (Stuart) and Paul Tyler (Tracy). He is also survived by nine grandchildren, and sixteen great-grandchildren.
