He is survived by: his father Dean Robert Garrett Sr.; his children, Allyson Garrett, Robert Garrett (Natalee) and Alton Garrett (Kim); his grandchildren, Robert Tobyn Garrett, Kordell Benjamin Garrett (Tiffani) and Ruth Hannah Garrett; and his sisters, Julie Wittwer (Greg) and Barbara Richards.
Dean's contributions to the community and his church were significant.
