He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Gines (Marva Wagstaff Gines) and Duane; his wife Sandra; his daughter Angela; and his siblings, Kenny, Dixie and Gary.

He is survived by: his sister Vickie.

Duane also had a global family; he actively participated in the Andean foundation, CHOICE Humanitarian, and The Galileo Foundation.
