She is survived by : her friend Kathleen Gividen Nelson Grace; her husband Dewey O'dell Nelson Jr.; her former life partner Joshua Grace; her children, Marsha Ann Hopkins (Marge), Lynette Tessier (George), Yvonne Hasna (Charlie) and Russ Nelson (Wendy); and her siblings, Bert Gividen, Georgene Harris and Mary Jo Barton.
