She was predeceased by : her siblings, Wilma, Glenda, George, Vernon and Eugene; and her son-in-law Dennis Hammer.

She is survived by : her former life partner Earnest "Earl" Gool; and her daughters, Janice Hammer and Joyce Williams (Dean). She is also survived by her 9 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
