He was predeceased by: his parents, Cleo Payne Bowyer and Robert "Bob" Bowyer; his sister Janet Bowyer Hawkins (Rocky Hawkins); his parents-in-law, Marylyn Midgley and Eugene "Ted" Midgley; and his brother-in-law Patrick Midgley-Biggs.

He is survived by: his close friend Kelly Midgley Bowyer; his children, Chelsey (Andrew), Nick, Austin (Talia), Brielle (Massi) and Chase; his grandchildren, Carley, Kira, Jackson, Taytum, Rush, Bryce, Liam and Parker; his siblings, Patricia Bentley and Rick Bowyer; his siblings-in-law, Glenn Midgley (Tony), Teri Ramsey (Craig), Melonie Sellers, Mark Midgley (Debbie), Michael Midgley (Debbie) and Brian Midgley (Aliece); and his pet Lexie.
