It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Delbert Gary Nelson in Bountiful, Utah, who passed away on October 8, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Delbert Nelson and Glaia Nelson; his wives, Margie Ann Martin and Ruth Pryor Olsen; his grandchildren, Axell Price and Jacob Santos; and his sister Gayla Schofield.
He is survived by: his children, Pamela Wilding (Terry), Dale Nelson (Darla), Kevin Nelson (Estelle), Karen Napier (Danny), Julie Tucker (Dale), Natalie Nelson, Dean Nelson (Emily), Philip Nelson (Tanna), Vaughn Nelson (Brittany) and Katie Gardner (Zakary); his stepchildren, Rodger Olsen (Nicole), Wayne Olsen (Jenny), Deanne Brown (Robert), Jack Olsen (Jodi) and Ronda Freed (Matt); his siblings, Dell Jean Cook, Kathleen Manning (Jim) and Debra (Mark); his daughter Jolene Reneau (Blake); and his brother-in-law Blane Schofield. He is also survived by 42 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren, and one 1 great-great-grandchild.
Viewing will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Hargis Hill Ward (80 N 100 W, Willard, UT 84340).
