He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen Thurston and Marjorie Bateman Nelson; and his son-in-law Brandon Stewart. He is survived by: his wife Rella Nelson; his children, Mardi Weber (Scott), Vari Durrant (James), Shauni Stewart (Brandon), Keri Jacobsmeyer (Eric), Curtis Nelson (Terra) and Todd Nelson (Kami); and his siblings, Ray Nelson (Pamela), Ellen Huff (Steve) and Ann Jepson (Tony).
