She was predeceased by: her parents, Morris Gibbs and Lorene Lindsey-Gibbs; and her siblings, Bobby Gibbs, Lou Peterman, Nell Cooper, Lenore Pickering and Janis Gibbs.
She is survived by: her former husband James Leroy Riggs; her son Marvin Eugene Riggs; her daughter-in-law Kathy Reid Riggs; her daughter Dawn Marie Riggs-Stueve; her daughter-in-law Courtney Stueve of Layton, Utah.; and her granddaughter Eliza Marie Riggs of Beaumont. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was on several committees for March of Dimes, Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon, Beaumont Police Department police wives club, charity bowling events and many more.
