He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivan Richards Briggs and Reta Rasmussen Briggs; his son Stanton Floyd Briggs; and his siblings, Fenton Thorley Briggs, Garth Thorley Briggs, David Thorley Briggs, Marilyn Briggs Wardell, LouCiel Briggs Taggart and James Thorley Briggs.

He is survived by: his siblings, Keith Thorley Briggs, Virginia Briggs Semadeni, Richard Rasmussen Briggs and Mary Ann Briggs Saunders; his wife Suzanna Reed Briggs; his children, Ivan Reed Briggs (Nicole), Delese Bettinson (Jeff), Jaron David Briggs (Stephani) and Jaree Whipple (Brenton); his grandchildren, Makayli Briggs Tipa (Spencer), Mason (Ava), Maklain, Maloree Briggs, Britton, Parker, Cadence, Kimball Bettinson, Peisli, David Briggs, Edmund, Lydia, Talmage and Ezra Whipple; and his great grandchildren, Knox and Marley Tipa.

Viewing will be held on Sunday, October 26th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, October 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (3113 13400 S, Riverton, UT 84065). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Bountiful City Cemetery (2224 S 200 W, Bountiful, UT 84010).
