He was predeceased by: his mother Dicie Maud Stevens Godfrey. He is survived by: his wife Elaine Burrell Godfrey; his children, Julie Ann Murphy (Michael) and James Godfrey Jr. (Steven); his sons-in-law, Paul Olsen, Mike Argyle (Carole) and Brent Asay; his father James Albert Godfrey; his brother George Clark Godfrey; his daughters, Kathi Olsen and Cheri Lynne Argyle; his sister LuJuana Hand; his grandson Dustin Argyle; and his great grandchild Emily Elaine Barnes. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 11:45 AM to 12:45 PM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Stone Creek Ward (1476 N 300 W, Bountiful, UT 84010).
