He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry "Hank" Vander Meyden and Margia Lawson; and his brother-in-law Byron Hardy. He is survived by: his wife Lucile Trowbridge; his children, Dirk (Athena), Wil (Taki), Kyle (Jennifer), Hank (Kellee), Gretta Salmon (Shane) and Juelee Grundvig (Nick); his grandchildren, James Vander Meyden (Athena), Jenni Vander Meyden (Nolan DeWolf), Emma Vander Meyden, Brianna DuBois-Emond (Julien), Anthony Amaro (Ashley Bido), Ryan Lemon (Breana), Todd Lemon, Zach Lemon, Josh Salmon, Abby Grundvig, Logan Grundvig, Emmeline Grundvig, Allison Grundvig, Linus Grundvig, Axl Vander Meyden, Coen Vander Meyden and Quin Vander Meyden; his great grandchildren, Rowen and Oax Lemon; and his siblings, Marian Speirs (Bob), Kaye Hardy and Brent Vander Meyden (Marti).
