He was predeceased by: his parents, Eldred George Toone and Wanda Corinne Burkam; his wife Carol Mary Anderson; and his siblings, Beverly, Dorland, Burkam, Gloria and Byron.
He is survived by: his children, Kim Cook (Doug), Kevin Toone (Suzanne), Karen Campbell (Jeff) and Chad Toone (Heidi); his brother Jury; and his sister-in-law Marjean. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.
