He was predeceased by: his parents, Royal Harvard Brooks Sr. and Hazel Vanessa Gibson; and his sisters, Phyllis and Vivian. He is survived by: his wife Julianna Miller Brooks; his brother Royal Harvard Brooks Jr.; and his children, Karsten (Nancy Allred), Carolyn (Mike Nielsen), Laura (David Perry), Karen (Bruce Ward), Barbara (Brett Olson) and Donna (Kevin Van Uitert).
