She was predeceased by: her husband James Leigh Kearns; her parents, Karl Adolf Steder and Elfriede Johanna Dorothea Semmler; and her brother-in-law Richard Maxeiner. She is survived by: her siblings, Helga and Peter (Sonngard) of Germany; and her children, Cindy Chalk (Bill), Cherie Stapp (Rick), Scottie Kearns (Kristie) and Shawn Kearns (Mary). She is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; 2 nieces, 1 nephew, 2 great-nieces, and 2 great-nephews; and many beloved pets.
