With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Merlene S. Bright (Bountiful, Utah), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Merlene left this world on June 29, 2025 at the age of 90, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. As we bid Merlene farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Merlene is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ellis Shields and Dorothy Sagers. She is survived by: her siblings, Russell, Gary and Lynne Versluis; and her children, Jeffrey, Jill, Jordon and Jason. She is also survived by four grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 6th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, July 7th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Russon Mortuary (295 N Main St, Bountiful, UT 84010). A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Bountiful City Cemetery (2224 S 200 W, Bountiful, UT 84010).
