He was predeceased by: his parents, Van Emil Nelson and Orpha Rilla Kofoed; and his daughter Kellie. He is survived by: his wife Roberta Louise Peterson; his children, Bret (Jusun), Brad (Karolina), Amy (Zane), Kirt (Melody) and Andy (Carissa); his sister-in-law Darlene; and his brothers, Eldred and Jerry (Janice). He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; and his growing family of great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Mueller Park 3rd Ward (1825 E 800 S, Bountiful, UT 84010). A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
