He was predeceased by: his parents, Joel Naylor and Elnora Mann Naylor; his brother Val David; his sons, Richard Samuel and Christopher; and his grandson Samuel.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Jo Naylor; his siblings, Dean Naylor (Colleen), Steve Naylor (Merla), Joan Evans (Bill) and Robert Naylor (Paula); his children, Cindy Bell (Layne), Jenni Perkins, Joe Naylor, Jeremy Naylor, Dan Naylor (Hannah), Michael Naylor (Michelle), Matt Naylor (Angela), Ben Naylor (Jenn), Marianne Holmes (Jake) and Ashlee Hull (Mike); and his daughter-in-law Regina Naylor. He is also survived by his 12 children, 44 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.
