Phyllis Slater Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phyllis Slater (Bountiful, Utah), who passed away on May 1, 2026, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lura Melba Hoopes and Ronald Arne Eksund; her parents-in-law, Ellis and Mildred Slater; and her siblings-in-law, Elvin Morrill, Carolynn Slater, Bruce (Teri Slater) and Jimmie Slater.
She is survived by: her significant other Frank Ellis Slater; her children, Rona Loye Wright (David), Julie Jensen (John), Christine Barkdull (Kray), Craig Slater (Sherrie), Cindy Kitchen (Ken) and Janel Colohan (Chris); her sisters, ArVella Morrill and Bonnie Campbell (Dave); and her siblings-in-law, Dennis Slater (Sally) and Marilyn Lewis (Richard). She is also survived by 26 grandchildren and 56 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, May 9th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Lindquist's Bountiful Mortuary (727 N 400 E, Bountiful, UT 84010). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
