It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Springer Johns Jr. (Bountiful, Utah), who passed away on January 29, 2026, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Norma Johns; and his brother Randy. He is survived by: his father Richard Johns; his close friend Gayle Goodfellow; his wife Gayle; his children, Holly Day (Rich), Shelly Vardakis (Angelo) and Matt Johns (Mallorie); and his grandchildren, Connor Vardakis, Landon Day, Mia Vardakis, Tessa Day, Cohen Day, Henry Johns, Goldie Johns and Birdie Johns.
Even as he battled Lewy body dementia and Parkinson's disease in his final years, he met each day with grace and resilience.
