Robert leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Robert’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Edward Matthews Sr. and Delores Jean Matthews (Anderson); and his brothers, Dennis and Rickey. He is survived by: his wife Florence Matthews; and his children, Bruce and Sonja Roberts (Nate). He is also survived by his two granddaughters; his eight siblings (in-laws); and many nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Memorial Lake View Mortuary & Cemetery (1640 E Lakeview Dr S, Bountiful, UT 84010).
