He was predeceased by: his parents, George Martin Knab and Theresa Knab (Regensperger); and his son Scott George. He is survived by: his wife Linda Mae (Tremmel) of Bountiful; his children, Carol Ann McMullin (Kirk) of Bountiful and Michael Stephen Knab (Kerstin) of West Point, Utah.; his grandchildren, Lauren Schofield (Kevin), Cole McMullin, Claire Ebeling (Michael), Evan McMullin, Thayde Knab, Cohl Knab, Margaret Knab and Martin Knab; and his great grandchild Warner Schofield.
