He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Wendall (Shag) and Gail Beecher Tate; his wife Karen Tate; his children, DeeAnn Hinajosa, Jill Burt (Robert), David (Tina), Mike (Sherrie Lou) and Mark (Suzanne); his sisters, Carolyn Dow and Tamra Peterson (Russell); his son James Tate; his son-in-law Bruce Hinajosa; and his sister Peggy Smith. He was also cherished by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
