He was predeceased by: his wife Aline Hilda Huber Matt; his sisters, Clara Earl and Dorothy Harvey; his stepdaughter Barbara Barton (Whitten); and his grandchildren, Steven Barton and Tina Creer.
He is survived by: his children, William Whitten (Beverlee), Linda Matt Wallace, Randy Matt (DeAnn) and Ronald Matt. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
