He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Maria Herrera and Antonia Mata Herrera Quiroz; his wife Rufina Dora Rangel Herrera; and his sons, Raymundo Herrera and George Herrera.
He is survived by: his children, Jose Herrera (Reymunda), Maria Ranjel, Isabel Ranjel, Antonia Ranjel (Trino) and Stella Chavez (Saul); and his sisters, Victoria Lang, Elva Delacruz and Marie Benton (Rod). He is also survived by 27 grandkids, 94 great grandkids, and 50 great great grandkids.
