Carolyn Gilger Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carolyn Gilger in Cedar City, Utah, who passed away on October 30, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Holmes and Edythe Holmes; her husband Clinton Gilger; her siblings, Richard Holmes, Judy Lee and Joan Holmes; and her son-in-law John DeRyke.
She is survived by: her children, Robert Keene (Miki) of St. George, UT, Jody DeRyke of Cedar City, UT, David Keene (Kathleen) of Caliente, NV, Lynnette Lofgran (Gregg) of Ashburn, VA, Deanna Oleen (Garrett) of Round Rock, TX and Allison Palmer (Stacey) of Cedar City, UT. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Southern Utah Mortuary (190 N 300 W, Cedar City, UT 84720). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
