He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Laura Bybee and Walden Bybee; his wife Colleen; his daughters, April Sherrie (Matt) and Maria (Craig); and his siblings, Lloyd (Kaye), Donald (Kay), Dean (Karen), Terry (Sandy), Lee (Diane), Marlene (Clair), Laree (Doug) and Joseph Bybee (Chris). He was also cherished by 13 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

“Dear Colleen, I wanted to tell you how sorry we are that Jerald is gone. He will be greatly missed. I was just thinking of his sense of humor that made us all laugh. I was especially remembering eating dinner with you in Texas and you were regaling us at our table of Jeralds latest humorous remark.
