Shelly Nelson Obituary
With sadness, we share the passing of Shelly Nelson (Cedar Hills, Utah). Shelly, born on March 5, 1960, passed away on September 15, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Naomi Clarissa Zundel Anderson and George Maurice Anderson; and her brother Lynn. She is survived by: her husband Lloyd Holt Nelson; her children, Brooke (Dallin Johnston), Alex (Cait Cooper) and Sam; and her sisters, Marsha Adams (Mark) and Elaine Hess (Michael). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and her grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 7:00 PM and on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM at 9737 Chesterfield Dr, Cedar Hills, UT 84062. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A dream trip to Italy, originally meant to be a milestone anniversary trip canceled during the pandemic, was turned into a gift she shared a few years later with all three of her children and their spouses, too.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made in Shelly's name to the Utah Food Bank or Habitat for Humanity.
