He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale Cottrell and Emma Cottrell; his wife Mary; his sister Sue Cottrell Gulley; and his granddaughter Jacie Cottrell.
He is survived by: his children, Keri Bateman (David), Natalie Smith (Brandon), Andy Cottrell (Amy), David Cottrell (Krista), Ryan Cottrell (Sabrina), Tina Crookston (Spencer) and Erika Cottrell; and his sister Marion O'Donnell (Theo). He is also survived by his children, eleven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
