He was predeceased by: his parents, Chris Hanney and Mabel Hanney. He is survived by: his close friend Reta Hamby Beutler; his son Justin Hanney (Emilee); his granddaughter Kaylie Hatch (Matt); and his great grandchild Harlie Hatch.
