He was predeceased by: his father Larry Gittins; his siblings, Ronald, Roland Gittins, Barbara Gittins and Laura Smith; his grandparents, Ben, Bertha Gittins, Rodney, Velda Anderson and Rolan Olson; and his in-laws, Max Kirby and Joan Henninger.
He is survived by: his mother Jeanine Olson Gittins; his wife Shelley Diane Kirby; his children, Suzanne Stirland (Brian), Matthew Lane (Lindsey), John, Molly Dixon (Jacob), Kevin (Lynnette), Kyle, David (Brooke), Kelsey Garner (Glen), Bryan (Emily), Jared, Zachary and Emilee; his grandchildren, Abby, Ben, Luke, Jackson, Kate, Jace, Brooklyn, Claire, Chanelle, Emma, Roselyn, Kade, Charles, Logan, Carson and Eleanor; his siblings, DeAnn Lichfield (Aaron), Tracy Gittins (María Blanca), Karin Gittins and Jeanne Murray (Chris); and his brother-in-law Mark Smith.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (4555 W 4000 S, West Haven, UT 84401). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
