It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sandra Elaine Banta of Clearfield, Utah, born in Edwardsport, Indiana, who passed away on April 9, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Glenmere Hollars and Eliza Emmaline Lewis; her father-in-law Charles A. Banta; her siblings-in-law, Richard Banta, Carole Banta and William Gregones; and her siblings, Glen Darrell, Delbert Lewis Hollars, Delores Gene Hollars, Rita Jo Hollars McEwen, Brenda Joyce Hollars and Karen June Hollars Emery.

She is survived by : her former life partner Charles A. Banta; her children, Charles, Jay Dee Banta, Katherine Banta Chadaz (Garth) and Kaylani Banta Garcia; her sister-in-law Brenda Banta Gregones; her grandchildren, Leon Lavender (Cassandra), Chelsey Johnson, Brady Johnson (Devin Rae), Cristiana Garcia, Cassie Chadaz Morse (Braxton), Jaycee Garcia Weiss (Chanse) and Chase Chadaz; her great grandchildren, Joey Lavender, Sierra Lavender, Liam Lavender, Ezlynn Lavender, Moana Garcia, Novella Weiss, Monico Garcia and Oskissay Johnson; and her great great grandchildren, Adaline Jane Marie Watts and Quinn Vivian Watts.

Viewing was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, April 25th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Lindquist's Layton Mortuary (1867 N Fairfield Rd, Layton, UT 84041). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
