We announce the death of Loyal Bruce Atkinson of Cottonwood Heights, Utah, who passed away on October 8, 2026, at the age of 70. Loyal will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Loyal’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Loyal Atkinson and Mildred Atkinson; his sister Rhoana; his brother-in-law Harold; and his nephew David.
He is survived by: his wife Christine; and his children, Eric (Tricia), Sarah, Jenny (Alan), Becky, Heidi (Ryan) and Angela (Marcus). He is also survived by twelve grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the Butler West Church (1355 7200 S, Cottonwood Heights, UT 84121). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
