She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Henry Brown and Virginia Blaney Brown; her brother Jackie Brown; and her son-in-law Ron Hedberg. She is survived by: her husband Ervin Val Carlsen; her children, Robert Val Carlsen, Suzann Hedberg and Jason Carlsen (Kindra); and her sisters, Lorene Childs and Dee Miller. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
