He is survived by: his wife Nancy Risner Bateman; his son Scott Bateman (Angel) of Katy, Texas; his grandchildren, Jackson and Emily; and his siblings, Hazel, Keith, Alice, Neoma and Barbara.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Church (288 River Chapel Rd, Draper, UT 84020).
