In the vast expanse of eternity, Richard shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Richard farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael John Meidlinger and Cecil Catherine Potter. He is survived by: his former wife Betsey Luella Stratton; his children, Diane Romney (Steve), Richard (Cheri), Janet Svendsen and Connie Judd (Randy); his brother Mike; his grandson Niklas; and his wife Patricia Wade. He is also survived by his four children mentioned above, seven grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Goff Mortuary (8090 S State St, Midvale, UT 84047). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Holladay Memorial Park Cemetery (4900 S Memory Ln, Holladay, UT 84117).
