He was predeceased by: his child Byron Hawkins. He is survived by: his brother Sherman Hawkins; and his children, John Hawkins and Claire Hawkins Averett. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and 1. 75 great-great grandchildren.
