He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Christen and Helen Benson Christen; and his siblings, Kathy, Tommy, Roy and Donald.

He is survived by: his wife LaRita Grace Christen; his children, Christina Kallbacka, Rita Jacobson Christen, Michael Christen and Tony Christen; and his siblings, Carolyn, Glen and David. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren.
