With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Yvonne Jane Gilmore Norton (Elk Ridge, Utah), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Yvonne Jane left this world on October 23, 2025 at the age of 84, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Morris A. Gilmore and Ferne Edric Bolding Gilmore; her siblings, Nolan (Toshiko), Morris (Wilma) and Yvette Bedford (Ralph); and her son Benjamin.
She is survived by: her sister Ferne Pennyfather; her husband Walter Norton; and her children, Les (Cheryl), Liesl Thornley (Paul), Kelly and Spencer (Kimberly). She is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM and from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Elk Ridge 5th Ward (450 N Elk Ridge Dr, Elk Ridge, UT 84651). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Elk Ridge 5th Ward Chapel (450 N Elk Ridge Dr, Elk Ridge, UT 84651). A burial will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at the East Lawn Memorial Hills Cemetery (4800 Timpview Dr, Provo, UT 84604). During the COVID-19 pandemic when they were forced to remain isolated at home for over five years, Yvonne and Walt danced at home until she was called to her heavenly home.
