He is survived by: his wife Carma Pearson Nielsen; his children, Michele Gardner (James), Shawn Paul Nielsen and Jonathan Michael "Jonny" Nielsen; his children-in-law, Melanie Nielsen (late Morgan Hal Nielsen) and Tod Rees; his grandchildren, Chelsea Gardner (Bradley), Callie Rees, Taylor Gardner (Kimberlee), Tara Rees, Jaron Nielsen, Cydni Rees, Paige Nielsen, Rachel Hiatt (Tyler) and Trevor Gardner; his great grandchildren, Madison Gardner, Aaron Gardner, Megan Gardner and Mason Gardner; and his siblings, Mac Nielsen, Craig Nielsen, Kelly Nielsen and Lori Lynn Nielsen. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
