He was predeceased by: his parents, Conrad Doney and Areta Doney. He is survived by: his children, Bryan Doney (Tammy), Merlyn Doney, Rosann Miller (Richard), Michelle Miller and Shawna Brown (Brandon); and his grandchildren, Tisha, Billy Jo, Patrick, Jessica, Audrey, Adam, Amanda, Abby, Anna and Sam.

Because of his massive contributions to the industry, Devon earned the prestigious Meritorious Service Award before retirement.
