He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Robert Breeze and Edna Matilda Floyd Breeze; his wife Janet May Walkenhorst (Jensen); his siblings, Claude F. Breeze and Barbara Karpowitz; his nephew Gordon W. Breeze; and his grandson Richard Bailey Breeze.

He is survived by: his children, Claudia Anna Jackson (Steve), Alison Jean O'Laughlin (John), Mitchell Floyd Breeze (Geneil), William Taylor Breeze (Deann), Lorraine Kay Hansen (David) and John Floyel Breeze (Tracee). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
