She was predeceased by: her parents, George Lloyd Hess and Sarah Ruth Turner Hess; her husband Richard Melville Howell; her sisters, Charlene (Bob Rampton), LaDell (Harold Manning) and Joyce (Verl Buhler); her siblings-in-law, Marcia Knight, Helen Strong and Lynn Howell; and her parents-in-law, Frank and Maxine Howell.
She is survived by: her daughters, Julie Howell, Janet Lamping (Doug) and Carol Hammerstrom; and her grandchildren, Sarah Hammerstrom and Nikkolus Hammerstrom. She is also survived by friends and neighbors.
She spent countless hours crocheting hats, blankets, scarves, and dishcloths for donation to the LDS Humanitarian Center, enjoyed cross-stitching, and treasured time spent with family and friends at the family cabin at Bear Lake, where many cherished memories were made.
