He is survived by: his parents, Raymond Thomas Petersen and Gwen Hunsaker; his wife Kelly; his children, Lindsie (Scott Hazen), Candice (Jordan Wheeler), Riley (Natalie Petersen) and Marly (Jake Dearden); and his siblings, Cheryl (Joe Buckley), Cindy (David Holmes), Becky (John Taylor), Kenny (Andra Petersen), Jan (Darren Moody) and Jerry (Kara Petersen). He is also survived by his 14 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
After Wayne's retirement, he and Kelly were called to the Scotland Ireland mission, but Covid put their departure on hold, as did a serious ATV accident in Cokeville.
