He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Higley and Irene Higley; his stepfather Noble; his sisters, Janice Weaver and Joanne Shepherd; his brothers-in-law, Gary Sorenson and Rob Shephard; his grandsons, Logan Bateman and Shane Player; and his great grandchild Conner Craig.
He is survived by: his children, James Dee Higley (Sally), Linda Player, Kay Beck (Scott), Ann Norman (Gary), Julie Bielik (Mike), Jody King (Mike), Danny Reeder (Angela), David Reeder (Victoria) and Michael Reeder; and his sister Jane Sorenson. He is also survived by 29 grandchildren, and countless great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
