He was predeceased by : his parents, Horace F. Short and Pearl B. Short (Spears); his wife Barbara; his former life partner Olive Rice of Minidoka, Idaho.; and his daughter Brenda Rice.
He is survived by : his sisters, Mable (Charles) and Retha (Lawson); his children, Dana Powers (Powers), Harrisville of Utah, Paul Short (Joni), Stan Short (Linda) and Terri Pooler (Rod); and also, Ray, Ralph, Roy, Reid, Earl, Verl, Hugh, Calvin and Alvin. He is also survived by Twin Falls Idaho and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a few good friends.
