As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though James Elden may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Emery Hess and Melba Thompson; his wife Tess Hess; his daughter Elon Marie Hess; and his grandson Hutchinson Elden Hess.
He is survived by: his brothers, Larry Hess (Karen) and NorVell Hess (Edna); and his sons, Tony (Lisa), San (Pam) and Todd. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Fielding Stake Center (4375 W 15600 N, Garland, UT 84312). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at the Fielding Cemetery (17200 N 4400 W, Fielding, UT 84311).
