He was predeceased by: his mother Sharon Thomas Hess. He is survived by: his father Ferris J. Hess; his son Jeremiah F. Hess; his former wife Julie Hess; his daughters, Trisha Knoblock (Brian), Kristi Jeppsen (Chad), Kelly Stephens (Steve) and Nikki May; and his siblings, Sid Hess, Kim Hess (Lee), Todd Hess (Cheryl) and Teresa Runkel (Phil). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
