He was predeceased by : his parents, Quinby Stookey and Eileen Stookey; his brother Clark Stookey; his aunts, Berniece Linford and Fannie Dodds; his parents-in-law, Felix Vigil and Connie Vigil; and his friend Craig Bush.

He is survived by : his wife Marcy; and his children, Kendall Stookey (Kori), Tiffany Stookey, Melanie Stookey, Kimberly Stookey and Jeremy Stookey (Braidi). He is also survived by 10 grandsons, two granddaughters, and one great-granddaughter.
